Elim Chan conducts selections from Prokofiev’s Cinderella — a harmonically rich, at times whimsical ballet not often heard in an orchestral setting — plus the New York Premiere of Noriko Koide’s Swaddling Silk and Gossamer Rain, with textures as delicate as the title suggests. Principal Cello Carter Brey also takes center stage in Saint-Saëns’s dramatic Cello Concerto No. 1.
