For many, fashion is inextricably linked to a sonic expression. From punk fashions to elegant waistcoats and wigs, fashion has a sound. Inspired by curator Dr. Elizabeth Way's latest show, join us as we trace fashion and art's parallel aesthetics from 18th century rococo to 21st century postmodernism and ponder the questions,"Is fashion art?" and "How do wearable aesthetics relate to sound, music and culture?" Join us for an exhibition tour and reflective mini recital performed by New York Philharmonic violinist, Audrey Wright. Part of the Talk and Tour series for MFIT’s Spring exhibition, Art x Fashion Organized in partnership with the New York Philharmonic. Performers: Audrey Wright (Violin)
